Director: Jafar Panahi
Language: Persian, Azerbaijani
Shot entirely in secret to avoid government censors, Panahi’s film follows a car mechanic on the outskirts of Tehran who believes a stranded motorist is the brutal guard who tortured him in prison. What begins as a minor accident sets off a chain of surreal, grotesque events that expose the corruption and tyranny at the heart of Iran.
