Roofman follows a charismatic small-time criminal who, while fleeing the police, slips into the unlikely refuge of a toy-store roof and sheds his past by adopting a new identity.
Directed by Derek Cianfrance (who co-wrote the screenplay with Kirt Gunn) and anchored by performances from Channing Tatum, Kirsten Dunst and LaKeith Stanfield, the film traces an uneasy romance that blossoms between the fugitive and a store employee. Tender, tense and tinged with dark humour, Roofman explores what happens when reinvention collides with desire and the haunting possibility that the truth will one day catch up.
