In line with Government guidelines, our venue will be closed to personal callers from 5 November until 2 December 2020 until we receive further notification regarding a re-opening date.
Online:
The Capitol's online booking service offers a secure way of booking tickets with the option of choosing your own seats. Tickets for socially distanced shows will automatically allocated the best seats for you. Choose the ticket price type (full price or concession), repeat for each type of ticket. Concession tickets are for Under 16's, Students & Over 60's. The following tickets are not available online: Leisure Access Card (LAC), Family, Wheelchair and Groups, please call the box office on 01403 750220.
Payments:
MasterCard, Visa, Electron, Delta, Solo, Switch and Maestro are accepted. Please note that all performances on this website will be subject to a Administration fee. Cheques are only accepted for Theatre Party Bookings of 20 or more.
HOW TO SAVE
Concession discounts are available to:
ID for discounted tickets (as well as for proof of age) will be required at the time of purchase AND at the time of performance.
Group Booking:
Group discounts are available for certain performances; please ask the box office for details when booking.
Only one concession or discount applies per ticket. Concessionary price tickets must be requested at the time of purchase, as discounts cannot be applied retrospectively.
Please note: The Capitol reserves the right to introduce discounts and other price changes without notice. These will not apply to tickets already purchased before the announcement.
FURTHER INFORMATION
Reservations:
Reservations are only permitted for theatre group bookings; not for cinema screenings.
Exchanges and Refunds:
Theatre tickets once purchased tickets are non refundable, however tickets can be exchanged only for another performance of the same production for a fee of £1 per ticket. We regret that such exchanges cannot be made on the same day as, or after the event in question.
Children
Children under three will not be admitted into the auditorium except to productions aimed exclusively at children. All children, including babies, must be in possession of a valid ticket. A discounted ticket is available for children under 2 years for more details please contact the Box Office.
The Capitol Policy
Children, School Parties and those in need of special care, are the responsibility of their parents, guardians, teachers or carers, who must ensure that appropriate behaviour is followed in the auditorium. There is a Duty Manager at all performances who will be happy to help with any problems. The Capitol reserves the right to ask anyone causing a disturbance, to other patrons or staff, to leave the venue.

Hirer's Events
The Capitol frequently makes its facilities available for hire to local societies and non-professional companies. Whilst we attempt at all times to safeguard customers’ interests, The Capitol can accept no responsibility for the quality, content, discount policies or pricing of these events.
Smoking
In the interests of health and safety The Capitol is a non-smoking building. There are exterior ashtrays situated at the main entrance to The Capitol.

When processing your booking the box office will ask you your name, address, telephone number and email address. This information may be used to keep you informed about forthcoming events at The Capitol, should you opt in.
